Building our Tiny House : Week 4

We’re almost done building the envelope of our tiny house on a trailer!  Seriously delayed by record rainfall in Vermont, we’re working on the house every second it’s not pouring.  We expect to finish up the redwood siding, clean up our site and FINALLY head out on our on our around-the-world cycling expedition sometime in the next couple of weeks.

As of today, we’re in the middle of Week 9 of our building and we’re really excited and happy about our new home.  We’re spending so much time building though that we haven’t had much time to devote to other tasks, like creating video for our blog and answering questions or comments from folks.  But never fear, we’ll post Week 5-9 videos and will respond to each of you personally very soon!

Thanks to everyone – neighbors & friends, virtual friends & readers of our blog, fellow cyclists patiently waiting for our trip to begin – for being so supportive and kind through this process.  You have no idea how much it helps us stay on task!  We love sharing our progress with this community.

For now, we offer the video summary of Week 4….

    Looks great!
I really like the way you’ve designed the loft area.
    Makes it so much roomier.
Please continue to update us with your videos and photos.
I’m watching to learn and hope to do the same as both of you brave souls.

    • Hi James,

Thanks for the motivational feedback! We are really digging the loft area too, it’s actually roomier than even we thought it would be. I’m putting together Week 5 this morning and hope to post by tomorrow. 🙂

Good luck with your future home!
