After a wonderful night’s sleep at Refugio State Park, we rode through Goleta then on to Santa Barbara for the evening. The last few weeks we’ve alternated between riding our bicycles, visiting with friends and family, and Amtrak hopping across the country. Over the years, as we’ve prepared for our tour, we’ve followed a number of cyclists who were already out there experiencing the world from the seat of a bicycle. Anxiously following their adventures online, their blogs provided inspirational fodder for our dreams.
